SciffyMUD

The SciffyMUD Players' Manual

SciffyMUD Rules

The rules of the SciffyMUD are reproduced here. It is important to note that, unless where stated, these rules apply only within Sanctuary. Also, you are at liberty to try and break these rules. At your own risk.

  1. You may not leave Sanctuary.
  2. You may not kill, or steal from, anyone else in Sanctuary.
  3. Quests must not be discussed within sanctuary.
  4. No Spitting.

Failure to adhere to these rules may result in a character (a player, a game- character or a member of the Circle of High Councellers® reporting a formal complaint (the complain command).

If the council receives complaints about a particular character, then they will - if the complaint is justified - take action against them. There are various forms of action which can be taken, some of which are listed below:

  1. Public humiliation
  2. Confiscation of experience points and/or possessions
  3. Imprisonment
  4. Reduction of the level of the character
  5. Hexes
  6. Curses
  7. Law-Enforcement Droids
  8. Death
  9. Any other punishment which the council sees fit.

If you believe that the Circle® is taking out unfair action against any particular player, for any reason, then you should submit a complaint about the Circle®. Note that this is a very serious accusation to make, especially as all players in the dungeon will be made aware of it. In theory, the Circle® is self-regulating. However, strong as they may be they are still mortal, and must be reminded of their primary duty, to keep the balance of the game.
